Are you a quality specialist with expertise in advanced manufacturing or high-spec engineering environments looking to step into a key leadership position?
An established technical manufacturer is looking for a Quality Lead to take complete ownership of their operational compliance, oversee daily inspection activities, and drive site-wide continuous improvement. This is a balanced role combining team oversight with active problem-solving, working alongside production teams and supply chains to ensure high standards are consistently achieved.
You will suit this role if you bring a strong foundation in certified management systems, experience with complex component inspection, and the confidence to guide quality processes from the shop floor up.

The Role
*Managing and refining site Quality Management Systems in line with recognized industrial frameworks
*Planning and executing internal compliance audits and coordinating third-party evaluations
*Handling non-conformance logging, customer quality queries, and formal issue resolution
*Leading, mentoring, and organizing daily tasks for the local quality and inspection staff
*Overseeing equipment calibration schedules and vendor assurance checks
*Facilitating root cause investigations and driving operational defect reduction
*Analyzing quality data to present key performance metrics to management
*Performing mechanical inspection of incoming, in-process, and finished components
*Utilizing precision measuring equipment, including coordinate measuring systems (fixed or portable)
*Coordinating product verification workflows and maintaining accurate compliance records
*Fostering a proactive quality culture across all operational departments
*Collaborating with production teams to resolve daily manufacturing queries The Candidate
*Solid background in a quality-focused role within a high-precision manufacturing environment
*Familiarity with demanding, multi-sector quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, or similar)
*Hands-on experience with quality audits, non-conformance reporting, and corrective action methodologies
*Comfortable reading detailed technical drawings, schematics, and geometric specifications
*Practical experience using dimensional metrology tools and inspection equipment
*Previous experience supervising, leading, or mentoring junior team members
*Effective communication skills with a structured, analytical approach to problem-solving
*Relevant technical qualifications, vocational training, or equivalent practical industry background
