Graduate Systems Engineer – MBSE
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
Location: Cork, Ireland (Hybrid/On-site depending on project)

Here is a role working in an engineering organisation operating in the defence sector who are looking to bring in a bright engineering graduate to develop into their in-house expert in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
This is not a typical graduate scheme. This is a role where you’ll be trusted early, trained properly, and given ownership of a critical capability within the business. Giving you the chance to grow with them.
About the Role
You’ll be working in an important and growing area of the business focused on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), using Enterprise Architect (EA), a powerful software environment used to model, analyse, and understand complex system-of-systems challenges. Your focus will be on:
- Modelling interactions between multiple systems
- Supporting system integration and requirements development
- Engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to extract and develop requirements
- Receive training on MBSE and EA
Long term, this role will help embed MBSE capability across wider projects and future applications within the organisation.
What They’re Looking For
- An engineering graduate
- Comfortable working with software (Python/MATLAB or others)
- Understanding of system modelling concepts (Training provided)
- Good communication skills
- European nationality (European defence projects)
This is not a pure software development role – it’s about understanding, modelling and communicating complex systems.
